Ana has a Master’s in Data Analysis and Decision Support Systems from Universidade do Porto and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from University of Edinburgh. That’s how she describes herself: I believe AI has the power to transform the world, but its true potential can only be realized through responsible AI practices. With a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Edinburgh University and 25 years of experience in data and AI, I combine advanced mathematical expertise with a deep understanding of business needs. Throughout my career, I have led multidisciplinary multi-continent remote teams to deliver end-to-end data science and AI products responsibly. My experience spans diverse AI techniques and toolsets, working with both large and small datasets, cloud and k8s. I’ve tackled challenges in fraud detection, customer analytics, IoT, and recommendation engines, consistently driving impactful results and presented to all levels of the organizational hierarchy. I am passionate about thought leadership in AI: I’ve published, presented, and interviewed on various AI and data science topics, showcasing my communication skills and dedication to advancing the field. Rosó Baltà Salvador, PhD, is a professor and researcher in the Department of Graphic and Design Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Her academic and professional background is in Product Design and Multimedia Applications, with more than 8 years in the professional sector and over 7 years of teaching experience.
